Yucky

Some fungus growing under my darling's big toe of the feet in a cast.

A Celebration Lunch

Dom 1999. Sweet bouquet of tropical fruits. Lemony on the palate almost sauvignon blanc or riesling like. Minerally finish. Long and elegant. Different from the rich creamy 1995, our first.

Sunday Lunch with In-Laws

Following on from a wonderful dinner at my place, we made open sandwiches for Sunday lunch - Salmon with Port Salut slices and aragula, baby spinach and mizuna, and Black Forest ham with home-made mint sauce, both on sun-dried tomato bread.

The Amushe Bushe

Dinner on Saturday started with Oyster shooters with bloody mary and mint leaves.

Another Pleasant Shopping Day

We spent last Saturday at the Grocer shopping for our cook out that evening. As a plus, we manage to scout out Aunty Anne's.

Valentine's Day Dinner

This was the first of 3 courses. Chunky pomodoro zuppa with basil paste topping. Next was the argula and mint salad with peach and prosciotto. Finally, bachi maguro tuna steak with basil, chili and corriander seeds on a mash potato base.

Free use of a wheelchair at Bangsar Village

Shopping at Village Grocer

My darling and I shopped at Bangsar Village Grocer for our Valentine cook out!

The wardrobe I'm after

Taken from a show unit. I want this but in 2 panels only.

Scaling new heights

My darling ascending and descending the stairs on crutches to view MK11. What an accomplishment! Clap. Clap.

The small lap pool

Meridian at MK

The cabana suites come with a small pool at the front and faces the condo's main pool. It'd had been a good buy if not for the unbearable road noise from the NKVE.

Toes Still Swollen

After more than a week after the fall, my darling's toes are still swollen. The little toes look fat and chubby. Hope she gets better soon.

The casting at Prince Court Medical Centre

Amazing facilities. Good doctors. Fantastic care. What a great hospital!

With crutches, can move around!

My darling is mobile again. Thanks Carren!

My Darling's Feet in a Cast

My darling fell in an Aeroline bus on the way to Singapore. She badly hurt her ankle and cannot walk. We brought her back to KL for treatment. Dr Deepak treated her and cast her feet. She had earlier gone to Gleneagles in Singapore for treatment but they didn't do much apart from sending her home with pain killers. What lousy medical care! Shame on you Gleneagles. Dr Deepak from Prince Court medical centre in KL provided exemplary care. Thank you. As for Aeroline, who refuse to take any responsibility and who have made themselves uncontactable, I'm so disappointed. I thought better of you.

Our One and Only New Year Card

Guy Savoy wishing us Happy New Year! Wish a could read all of it.

My Birthday Treat

The food at Au Petit Salut was amazing. We had the 4 course degustation. The cheese selection was a little of a letdown tho. Our Belgrave 2000 was truly memorable. 90 plus points.

Our Singapore stash

Can't wait for there to mature.

Budget Terminal in Singapore

Doesn't the entrance to the gates look nice?

Who says Broadband Ops never get hampers?

Well, 2 years on and after more than a million paid out to our vendors, we have this to show. Only. Actually, it was hijacked. Eric addressed it to Lyn. Oh well.

Dinner at Sage

My darling first visit to the Sage. We can't help but compare - the food was not on par with Cilantro. Service was also a notch down from the restaurant it replaces - probably cos only Jason and Shikin were the only ones from the old place, bar the chef of course. The starters were good and so was my main, but my darling's main, the duck had an over powering smell. What made up for it? 2003 Sociando Mallet. It was sublime; I'd say a 95 pointer.

Cheap flights

MAS offering cheap flights to Singapore for RM216 return.
